I remember him having an engine blow up when he was cruising to a win and Rosberg punted him off the track a couple of times (Hamilton has been a lot more circumspect about who, when and how he overtakes since then).
He also loused up a few starts.

I'm conscious that that prick Hairy only started this in order to get people arguing. Luckily for now, he hasn't quite succeeded in stirring up the racist element he so desparately craves, but it'd been bubbling.
Hamilton is a like him, or hate him figure, down to his undoubetd ability and ridiculous personality.

I thought Rosberg was lucky the season he won the World Championship. Hamilton won more races, and had more retirements.

Hamilton has finished 2nd twice, first time was because he and his team mate (a Double World Champion) were allowed to race and effectively cut each others throats to let Raikonnen slip in and then to a team mate who promptly retired because beating Hamilton had taken everything he had and he felt he could not keep up that level of intensity.
Hamilton went away, had a think and a chat with Wollf and just came back better.
His personality is Marmite but at least he has one.

Mansells driving style (the reason he was well liked) was both his success and his failing, like Graham Hill, he was very hard on his cars and tyres in an age where they were often quite highly stressed, innovative and fragile. Don't forget he came second three times as well.

Mansells car had the best engine (Honda at the time) by a country mile. He should have been a multiple world champion, that he wasn't was because he wasn't that good.

Not fit to lace Mansell boots. Those were real cars, not for nancy dread lock try hard boys like Hamilton. That era pisses all over today’s series and the majority of shit tracks with run off areas. Mansell also went and pissed all over the yanks in Indycar. Verstappen by far the best driver of the current F1 crop as was Alonso who has the bollocks to race in other series. Hamilton more concerned with his hair or his stupid celeb friends. Schumacher must be dribbling in his sack watching Hamilton close in on his record
